Radio Removal |

Layout of radio to be removed | |||

use a small pick to remove cover | |||
 |
use small pick to remove cover on other side | |||
 |
use small pick to pry from the top of the speaker grill releasing the clips | |||
 |
remove 2 10mm bolts behind grill and cover | |||
 |
remove a 10 mm bolt from opposite side of steering column | |||
 |
remove 2 10 mm bolts from lower portion of dash | |||
 |
after that the lower dash drops down | |||
 |
remove screw left of steering column | |||
 |
remove screw from right of steering column | |||
 |
gently pry on dash using panel removal tool starting from left of steering column to loosen up the panel | |||
 |
to make removal process easier i recommend removing set of switches left of the steering column and unplugging it. | |||
 |
remove 6 screws from steering column shroud | |||
 |
lift off top part of steering shroud | |||
 |
carefully remove the dash piece that was loosened up earlier Tip: in most Prizm's of this year the dash is very fragile so be careful in removing it. |

remove 4 8mm/Phillips screws from sides of radio and remove and unplug radio. | |||
